PTI has a full complement of both CNC Swiss and Swiss cam-driven automatic screw machines, both bar-fed and coil-fed, allowing us to economically produce your short-run prototypes, as well as long running parts. Our CNC machines have up to 11 axes of control which yield the ability to make very complex parts complete on the primary machine, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for secondary operations. When necessary, our Secondary Department can do any machining (drill, mill, slot, grind, thread, etc.) or finishing operation (plate, heat treat, etc.) required to complete the part. Most tooling is made in-house which allows for faster deliveries, especially in the case of first orders or prototypes. Furthermore, we maintain, repair, and/or rebuild our equipment ourselves, therefore we are not at the "whim of a subcontractor" to get a critical job back up and running.
PTI's small-town home affords it very reasonable land and labor costs. This is the primary factor that allows the company to easily compete price-wise with much larger companies in much larger cities. However, price is not the only consideration. All PTI employees take exceptional pride in the quality of workmanship that is evident in each part shipped. Precisely, it is because of this lower cost structure, that PTI can afford to take the time to do the job right - the first time!
Building
Our facilities include 12,000 square feet of climate-controlled office and manufacturing space, significant warehouse area which can be converted to production area when our needs dictate, and 3.5 acres of land for future expansion.
Raw Material
Incoming material must pass our quality assurance tests and be certified by our supplier before we use it in production. We operate a through-feed centerless grinder for in-house grinding of bar stock to critical tolerances. Currently PTI manufactures parts from aluminum, brass, bronze, steel alloys, stainless steels, and various plastics.

Computer System
All orders are tracked through our system of networked PC's. In many cases, CNC jobs are programmed off-line, then down-loaded electronically to the machine. Full FAX/MODEM capability for electronic exchange of part prints, etc.
Environmental
We spin 100% of the chips that leave our facility. The metals are recycled and the cutting oils are reclaimed.
The company is located in Delphi, Indiana, a pleasant community with a good work ethic. This is an ideal location since it is centrally located in the Midwest, near Lafayette, Indiana and midway between Indianapolis and Chicago. In fact, by extending a core radius outward from PTI Machining, we are within a half-day's drive from all the major industrial markets in the central United States, including the Ohio River Valley and Great Lakes Regions. Of course, we can always hop on a plane (as we often do) to the Southeast, the East Coast, the West Coast and all areas in between.
In addition, we serve a handful of clients in the international marketplace, and continue to respond to specialty needs from all corners of the globe.
We at PTI understand that our employees are the keys to our success. Our key managers and supervisors have literally hundreds of years combined experience machining precision parts. We maintain an internal training and development program to teach the necessary technical skills to our new hires as well as expand the knowledge base of our more experienced personel. Further, cross training is emphasized so that we have full redundency in any particular job function.
We received Certificate #2268, dated July 26, 2001 from American Quality Assessors of Columbia, SC. In addition to being officially QS-9000 Certified by a third-party auditor, our quality system is certified compliant with ISO-9002.

For your information, we work with a variety of different clients with diverse needs. When our client needs parts for a sensitive project, we guard information about that part and the project with the utmost of care. This issue never arises with most customers. However, when a part is extremely proprietary in nature, we can execute secrecy or non-disclosure agreements, as you might require.
